I'm a white, pansexual, polyamorous, abled non-binary trans woman experiencing a degree of gender fluidity raised in a Canadian military family and living on these unceded Algonquin lands for these past 23 years. I have an ongoing relationship with anxiety and depression, and a history of depersonalization. I am unemployed, and navigating that particular hurdle myself.
I'm especially happy to talk about details of various medical and social transition options, including navigating these in the workplace and family, as well as issues of social isolation and detachment, challenges engaging with others, and working through the exploration of gender and sexuality. But please feel free to talk about other things!
I'm a huge fan of older console games, tabletop roleplaying, and, science fiction, and have an interest in feminist philosophy and writing short fiction. I am currently learning to play roller derby.

Salut!
Passe me dire bonjour!

Hi there!
I am a young teacher who transitioned in her early 20’s and believes in the best in others. I am grateful for the opportunity to be a part of your journey. I am comfortable discussing any subject and could definitely spend all day talking about gender identity and the role of the trans and queer community in the well-being of society. In my day-to-day life, I am someone who loves to experiment in the kitchen and take long walks. I also love exchanging thoughts on ethics and philosophy over a good cup of coffee.
Come by and say hello!

Jaina
Hi, my name is Jaina. I'm a 25 year old trans woman with experience navigating the system of trans health care, both in seeking out HRT and applying for bottom surgery. I have some experiene with social work and counselling. I can give information on hormones and living out and loud as a public advocate of transgender rights. I understand how confusing it can be to try and discover your identity, and am willing to help with whatever you need to bring to the table.

I'm a white nonbinary trans guy and a first year Social Work student at Carleton University. I graduated from high school in 2017 and am very involved in trans organizing and activism both in and outside of school. In addition to activism, I'm a camp counselor and enjoy spending time with friends, outer space, and camping. I've recently had top surgery and I'm happy to talk about accessing health care, advocacy, social transition, coming out, high school and anything else that you would like to talk about!

I'm Kay a volunteer here at Foundations and Pathways Ottawa. I'm a 47 years old trans woman, I transitioned 11 years ago and have had surgery in Montreal. I'm white and emigrated to Canada from England. I have experience in supporting people with depression and anxiety and also transition related concerns. I'm involved in several long term polyamourous relationships. I identify as a queer, asexual, leather dyke and I can talk about relationships involving power exchange. I've been a volunteer with P.O.W.E.R, Ottawa's sex workers rights organization and can talk about sex work.
I'm friendly and direct and don't have any triggers per say.

Hi! I’m a white, 21-year-old nonbinary trans guy (or demiboy)! I have lived in Ottawa on unceded Algonquin territory my entire life, and I’m in my fourth year of a Women’s and Gender Studies undergrad at Carleton University, getting ready to start graduate studies. I didn’t start questioning my gender at all until after I graduated high school, so if you’re struggling with invalidation because your transition journey isn’t what the world tells you it “should be”, I’m happy to talk that out with you. I love the fact that gender diversity allows us so many different and unique ways to express ourselves, and celebrate the small things. I also have personal experience being queer, mentally ill, and a survivor of emotional abuse, but I can definitely chat with you about anything that might be on your mind.
Personally, I’m a big fan of coffee, dogs, movies and books, and creative projects of all kinds—I’m not good at art by any means but I still like doing it!

I am a white, genderqueer human living on Unceded and Unsurendered Algonquin Territory. I'm happy to talk about mental and physical illness, addiction, housing (in)security, parenting and giving birth while trans, relationships, work and labour, etc. (try me!) You are welcome to talk to me about trauma but detailed childhood abuse will be triggering for me. I believe strongly in harm reduction and am happy to talk about self harm, substances, sex, etc. from that framework. Often I have my infant child accompanying me, so if you need baby snugs I'm your person.
I enjoy painting, knitting, being outdoors, sending snailmail, reading, and winter sports in my spare time. These days I'm an in bed by 10 kind of human.

Kai
My name’s Kai, I’m currently 21 years old and I use they/them pronouns. I was raised in North Bay, Ontario, where I was, and am, very fortunate to have supportive family and friends. Even with the support I had, growing up still had its difficulties due to a lack of resources for LGBT+ people in the community. I moved to Ottawa to attend Carleton University, studying Psychology and American Sign Language. Due to mental health and chronic illness, my gender identity was pushed to the back burner for a while, so to speak. But, with the support of my family and friends back home as well as my newfound community in Ottawa, I have been able to overcome my obstacles to become my unapologetic self.
